The Long Version
I graduated from Pacific Rim College with a Diploma of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with Honours. I have a passion for holistic medicine and I am thrilled to be practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in the Comox Valley.
It all started many years ago, when I got acupuncture in my teens to manage pain from sports injuries. As a young athlete competing at a national level, it was critical for me to be in top physical shape and to have a strong mental game as well. It wasn’t until I began seeing an acupuncturist that I started to thrive. Not only was my pain gone, my sleep, emotional state and digestion improved as well. Ever since this initial experience, I continue to be blown away by the wonder of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I grow more and more passionate about studying this incredible medicine and continue to be blown away every day in clinic.
I love working with women to optimize their health and wellness. Every person is unique, and there is no one size fits all in TCM. By creating individual treatments, I'm able to simultaneously treat the presenting symptoms and the underlying cause of disease. I strive to encourage the body's innate healing ability to return to a healthful state. My goal as an acupuncturist is to work with my client to create a personalized treatment plan, provide individualized treatments and offer unique lifestyle advice that is specific to the person. This approach allows for optimal healing and recovery.
I strive to create a calm, relaxing environment for my patients to feel safe and heard. My gentle, attentive approach offers relaxation and graceful healing. I aim to educate and empower women to take control on their wellness journey.
In my spare time you will find me studying herbal medicine, gardening, doing arts and crafts, hiking, stand up paddle boarding and exploring all the Valley has to offer!
I am pleased to be offering my services at Arbutus Therapeutic Collective, a multidisciplinary clinic in downtown Courtenay. I am honoured to work with a team of incredible healthcare practitioners!
The clinic is located around the back of the building. There is lots of street parking on 4th and there are a few spots reserved for our clients in the parking lot.
